Rating:  This is my second XD. My other one is the XD-9 4 inch 16 round. I like the XDs for conceal carry because of the grip safety. The XD-45 is smaller than the XD-9 (one-half inch shorter grip with standard mag) and is a great conceal carry weapon (shoulder holster). Wow! This 45 shoots as easy as the 9 mm and I''m more accurate with it than the 9 mm. Super firepower in a small, accurate, easy to shoot package. The 45 is my new conceal carry, and the 9 mm will be for the practice range. Springfiled makes great simple weapons.

XD 45 SERVICE

Rating: GREAT GUN !!! PERIOD. It holds more Ammo than most and its a 45 acp. Shoots straight, easy to clean, reliable, reliable, and reliable. if this gun can''t do it, you need a riffle/shotgun. I regret that i got mine before the thumb safety. Nevertheless, I will never sell or give this gun away.. ]well maybe to my grandson, while im on my death bed, and even then..he will have to pry it of my dead hands[

Fully loaded with 13 + 1 rounds ] 12 to save mag spring, i still think like USMC[ this weapon can be a bit heavy when carrying all day, esp. concealed. but that''s the sacrifice. remember... to knock down a heaven object, its always best to hit it in the right spot with another heavy object...
i.e. to knock down a high 250 lb man, u need a heavy cartridge with many rounds.... XD45 with 13 + rounds of hydrashok will be your friend. not 6 or 8 shots like the other guys.

XD 45 4" Black

Rating: I purchased my XD 45 after owning and carrying my XD9 for years and being convinced that Springfield Armory was among the top weapon manufacturers in the world.
The XD45 has all of the positive aspects of the XD9 and the recoil is completely manageable in all but the rapid fire modes.
I carry the XD45 now after hundreds of rounds on the range convinced me that the weapon was completely dependable, as accurate as the shooter and would put an aggressor down.
I would love an XD subcompact but my budget for handguns has been spent and the smaller weapon is not needed, only wanted.
